About the Team
The role sits within Research Grants and Development unit in the Research Office. The team supports all research grant funding activities across the university to enable quality research grant development, submission and successful funding outcomes as well as research capability development.
Job Purpose
Working as part of a central team, this role provides timely and accurate support for research grant proposals, primarily across Australian funding schemes, by assisting researchers with development, budgeting, and compliance in accordance with the specific requirements of each funding body.
Detailed Description
Role Responsibilities
Support research grants including identifying and preparing for opportunities including relevant guidance material, templates and other grant resources.
Interpret grant funding rules and provide accurate, timely advice to researchers throughout the pre-award and application process.
Provide high-quality pre-award support to researchers across assigned faculties or schemes, including budget development, data entry into internal and external systems, eligibility checks, proposal review, endorsements and submission.
Maintain accurate records and support grant submissions through relevant research management systems and funder portals.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects in relation to pre-award processes and activities.

Ability to interpret and apply policy and funding requirements.

Experience
Experience supporting coordination and submission of research grant applications.
Experience working in a research or university environment.
Experience managing complex workloads and working with detailed information.
Experience supporting training or guidance on research processes.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education

Remuneration/Salary
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $98,792 - $106,966 (HEW6) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
