We're looking for a friendly, reliable and adaptable Medical Receptionist to join our administration team in our busy multidisciplinary practice. About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and patients feel welcomed and supported.
No two days are the same. If you enjoy variety, thrive on being busy and love the satisfaction of keeping everything running smoothly, you'll fit right in with our team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries
- Booking and scheduling appointments across clinicians and different software platforms
- Processing payments, Medicare claims and private health rebates
- Managing phone and email enquiries
- Maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality
- Entering and processing referrals
- Supporting clinicians and colleagues to keep the clinic running efficiently
This is a permanent part-time position (22 hours per week). Additional hours will be available to cover annual leave, staff absences and an upcoming period of long service leave. There may also be opportunity for additional hours in the future. Typical rostered hours are expected to be:
- Monday: 9:00am – 6:30pm
- Tuesday: 10:00am – 6:30pm
- Friday: 12:30pm – 5:30pm
Flexibility to provide additional leave cover will be highly regarded.
Due to the training and continuity required for this role, this position is not suitable for short-term or gap year applicants.
About You
We're looking for someone who:

- Is organised with strong attention to detail
- Is confident using computer systems
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Thinks laterally and enjoys finding practical solutions

- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administration role is highly regarded.

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in an administration/customer service role is preferred but not essential. We are committed to training the right candidate who shares our values and is looking for a long-term opportunity.
