Role PurposeCAPDA is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the delivery of complex Defence capability within a major acquisition and sustainment environment.
Working within an integrated team, you will contribute to systems engineering, technical assurance, configuration management and engineering governance activities to ensure capability is delivered in accordance with Defence requirements and technical standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain engineering documentation and management artefacts.Support systems engineering and configuration management activities.Review engineering deliverables and technical documentation.Contribute to engineering assurance, certification and governance activities.Support engineering change management and technical risk management.Engage with Defence, industry and technical stakeholders.




Attributes SoughtDefence systems engineering experience.Strong understanding of Defence engineering governance and assurance.Experience with configuration management and engineering change processes.Excellent technical documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience within Defence acquisition, sustainment or CASG environments.
Essential Experience and QualificationsProven experience with Defence engineering activities and planning.Strong background in Systems Engineering within a Defence environment, including experience with SEMPs, TCPs and Requirements Management.Familiarity with software system safety, security and technical risk management.Knowledge of Defence communications, command and control, or information systems environments.Solid understanding of contemporary networking, computing and operating systems.Advanced technical writing skills.Formal qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.Current NV1 Security Clearance.
