The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer to work alongside teachers and support staff in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students with diverse learning needs. This role is 0.79 FTE working Monday to Friday 8:45am to 3:15pm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support students with additional needs and learning adjustments under the guidance of the classroom teacher

- Assist teachers during lessons by providing direct support to students while instruction is taking place

- Provide personalised support, including mobility and communication assistance as required

- Deliver modified or adjusted learning material prepared by the subject teacher to students, assisting them to complete assigned tasks

- Prepare learning support materials and participate in activities that assist student understanding of curriculum concepts

- Support students in developing independence within a caring and inclusive environment





- Provide assistance under the direction of Learning Leaders and the Head of Learning Diversity

- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported students and track involvement in learning adjustments

- Work collaboratively with teachers, Learning Diversity Leaders, and the LSO Coordinator to monitor student progress

- Assist students in building social awareness, classroom interaction, and appropriate behaviour

- Stay informed about best practices in supporting students with learning difficulties

- Collect and provide data for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)

- Attend Program Support Group (PSG) meetings as required

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting diverse learners

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team setting

- An understanding of inclusive education practices and student wellbeing

- Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or working toward)

- Experience in a school or education setting is highly regarded
