MARS Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Finance Officer to join a busy transactional finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys variety, stakeholder engagement, and working across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, systems, and process improvement initiatives.

You will join a supportive finance function where you can remain hands-on with transactional finance while contributing to improving processes, supporting team members, and enhancing efficiencies across the business.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide hands-on support across the transactional finance function while assisting with process improvements and system initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing end-to-end transactional finance activities across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, banking, and reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing within a high-volume finance environment
- Supporting month-end activities, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and finance queries
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members
- Assisting with ERP system testing, issue resolution, and process improvements
- Identifying opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and finance processes

This role provides a great mix of hands-on finance, stakeholder engagement,



and continuous improvement work.

About You

You are a proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and takes ownership of delivering accurate outcomes.

You will bring:

- Previous experience in a Senior Finance Officer, Senior Accounts Officer, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable role
- Strong end-to-end transactional finance experience
- Confidence working with ERP systems and improving finance processes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members
- Progress towards, or completion of, a relevant Accounting or Finance qualification (desirable)
