Health & Safety Leader - Temporary Contract

3-4 Month Contract

An opportunity exists for an experienced Health & Safety Leader to join a local government organisation on a temporary basis. Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will lead workplace health and safety initiatives, support injury management and workers compensation programs, and help drive a solid safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide WHS advice and support to leaders and employees.
- Manage incident investigations, inspections, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Monitor safety performance and recommend continuous improvements.
- Deliver WHS training and awareness programs.
- Review and develop WHS policies, procedures, and systems.





About You

- Qualification in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHS advisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, and compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
