About the role

The Health Practitioner – Clinical Research contributes to the delivery of high-quality clinical research within the STARS Education and Research Alliance (SERA). Working across a diverse portfolio of applied clinical research projects involving Metro North patients, the role supports the development, implementation and evaluation of research activities that improve patient outcomes and inform contemporary healthcare practice.

The successful candidate will utilise high-level clinical expertise to undertake research activities across a range of studies and programs within the STARS research portfolio. Working closely with researchers, clinicians, consumers and other stakeholders, the role contributes to the generation, translation and dissemination of research that advances rehabilitation, patient-centred care and health service innovation.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Plan, implement, evaluate and report on clinical research activities, applying advanced clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice principles.
- Apply high-level critical thinking, problem-solving and professional judgement skills to support the delivery of complex clinical research projects.
- Collaborate effectively with researchers, clinicians,



consumers and key stakeholders to achieve research objectives and positive outcomes.
- Lead and contribute to research project activities including study design, ethics and governance processes, participant recruitment, data collection, analysis and dissemination of findings.
- Maintain accurate research documentation and contribute to publications, reports and knowledge translation activities that support improvements in healthcare practice.
