Located at 186 Victoria Road, Marrickville NSW 2204, Bonfire Bread operates as a retail bakery offering customers a quality range of freshly baked breads, pastries and other bakery products. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our Marrickville retail bakery and contribute to the ongoing success of Bonfire Bread. Key Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail bakery to maintain efficient service, product availability and a positive customer experience.

· Plan and oversee the selection, display and availability of breads, pastries and other bakery products in response to customer demand and sales patterns.

· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock requirements to maintain adequate supplies while assisting in the control of product wastage.

· Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the retail bakery's operating budget, including stock, labour and other operating costs, and support appropriate cost-control measures.

· Implement appropriate pricing,



merchandising and promotional activities to support retail sales and business objectives.

· Monitor sales performance, operating expenses and other retail results and contribute to achieving established business targets.

· Maintain accurate records relating to retail sales, stock movements, cash handling and other store transactions.

· Recruit, train, supervise and support retail employees to maintain consistent standards of customer service, product knowledge and workplace performance.

· Prepare and coordinate staff rosters and allocate daily responsibilities according to trading requirements and anticipated customer demand.

· Ensure bakery products are attractively displayed, appropriately labelled and presented in accordance with Bonfire Bread's retail standards.

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout customer-facing and retail service areas.

· Engage with customers, respond to enquiries and resolve feedback or complaints professionally to maintain positive customer relationships.

· Ensure retail bakery operations comply with applicable workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene and operational requirements.

· Liaise with bakery and production staff regarding product availability, customer demand, stock requirements and daily retail needs.

· Review retail procedures and identify opportunities to improve sales performance, customer service, stock control and operational efficiency.





What You Will Bring

· Minimum 1-2 years' relevant experience in retail management, retail supervision or a comparable customer-focused management role.

· Relevant qualification in retail management, business, hospitality or a related discipline.

· Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to train, supervise and motivate retail employees.

· Sound knowledge of retail operations, stock control, merchandising, sales monitoring and customer service.

· Ability to organise staff and operational priorities effectively in a busy retail bakery environment.

· Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

· A customer-focused approach with a commitment to maintaining high service and product presentation standards.

· Ability to work collaboratively with retail and bakery production teams.

· A proactive and hands-on approach to achieving operational and business objectives.
