Responsibilities

As the State Operations Manager , you will take ownership of the overall operational, commercial and people performance of the NSW portfolio.

Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Area Managers and operational teams, you will drive service excellence while identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts, strengthen relationships and support new business opportunities.

This is a highly visible leadership role that requires someone who is equally comfortable leading large operational teams, managing key client relationships and having commercially focused conversations with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

- State Operations Leadership: Lead the overall operational performance of the NSW portfolio, ensuring consistent, efficient and high-quality service delivery across multiple client sites.




- Business Growth & Development: Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts, expand service offerings and contribute to new business opportunities, tenders, bids and strategic opportunities.
- Commercial Performance: Take ownership of portfolio financial performance, including labour productivity, budgets, resource utilisation, cost management and commercial outcomes.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and major accounts, acting as a senior escalation point and identifying opportunities to improve retention and expand existing relationships.
- Sales & Growth Strategy: Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute strategies that support revenue growth, client retention and portfolio expansion.
- Contract Mobilisation: Lead the operational transition and mobilisation of new contracts, ensuring appropriate workforce structures, resources and processes are in place from commencement.
- Leadership & People Development: Lead, coach and develop Area Managers and operational leaders, building accountability, capability and a high-performance culture across the state.
- Operational Improvement: Monitor operational performance and implement initiatives that improve productivity, service quality, efficiency and customer outcomes.
- Workforce Management: Ensure labour deployment, workforce planning and operational structures remain commercially sustainable and aligned with portfolio requirements.
- Risk, WHS & Compliance: Maintain strong oversight of WHS, compliance,



risk and contractual obligations across the portfolio.
- Reporting & Strategic Planning: Provide accurate reporting on operational, financial, workforce and client performance while contributing to broader business strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced State Manager, Operations Manager, Regional Manager or Senior Operations Leader with a strong background in commercial cleaning, facilities management or a similar contracted service environment.

You will be commercially minded, sales and growth focused, and passionate about building strong client relationships while delivering operational excellence. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead geographically dispersed teams, manage labour-intensive operations and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and win new business.

- Essential: Demonstrated experience leading multi-site operations within commercial cleaning, facilities management, property services or a similar contracted service environment.
- Strong preference for candidates with direct experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing labour, budgets, productivity and financial performance.
- Sales and growth focused, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, grow existing client accounts and contribute to new business development.
