We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and highly capable Complex Team Leader to lead one of our dedicated SIL teams in the Ocean Shores region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and coach a team of Disability Support Workers to deliver exceptional person-centred supports.
- Ensure participants receive protected, respectful and high-quality support that promotes choice, independence and dignity.
- Oversee the implementation of Individual Support Plans, Behaviour Support Plans, Clinical Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of restrictive practices, ensuring all regulated restrictive practices are implemented strictly in accordance with Behaviour Support Plans, legislative requirements, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, and organisational policies.
- Monitor the use of restrictive practices, support staff to implement strategies safely and consistently, and promote the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices through positive behaviour support approaches.
- Work collaboratively with Behaviour Support Practitioners, allied health professionals,
families and guardians to ensure behaviour support strategies are implemented effectively and participant rights are upheld.
- Monitor participant outcomes and ensure support strategies are implemented consistently across the team.
- Provide leadership in the delivery of high-intensity supports including mealtime management, medication administration and complex personal care.
- Facilitate team meetings, reflective practice sessions and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, incident reporting and service records in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety legislation, and organisational policies.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with participants, families, guardians, allied health professionals and external stakeholders.
- Identify risks, lead incident management and investigations where appropriate, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
About You:
You are an experienced Disability Team Leader who is calm under pressure, solution-focused and passionate about supporting both participants and staff to succeed.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within the disability, community or health sector.
- Extensive experience supporting people with complex disabilities and high-intensity support needs.
- Sound knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practice.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguards Framework.
- Excellent communication, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
- High level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Strong computer skills and experience using electronic care management systems.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering outstanding participant outcomes.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability sector.
- Robust knowledge of the NDIS and the disability support framework.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a collaborative environment.
- Compassionate, client-focused approach with a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience working with participants who have complex disabilities and behaviours, including verbal escalations.
- Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or related field (or working towards).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License & comprehensive insurance certificate.
