This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day dewatering activities across an active mining operation. You will lead a crew while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity across mine dewatering, pumping systems, HDPE pipelines and mine-site water management.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily dewatering activities and personnel
- Plan and allocate work across the dewatering crew
- Oversee installation, relocation and maintenance of diesel pumps, HDPE pipelines and associated dewatering infrastructure
- Coordinate pump change-outs, pipeline installations and breakdown activities
- Monitor pumping systems and identify maintenance or operational issues
- Coordinate plant, equipment and materials required to complete scheduled works
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety interactions
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with site procedures and HSE requirements
- Liaise with site management, maintenance and mining teams to coordinate dewatering priorities
- Monitor crew performance and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
About you
- Previous experience as a Dewatering Supervisor, Leading Hand or similar
- Strong experience within mining dewatering and mine-site water management
- Experience with diesel pumps, HDPE pipelines, bores, tanks and associated infrastructure
- Strong understanding of pump and pipeline installation and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience supervising and coordinating site personnel
- Strong safety focus and ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate multiple work fronts
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
