MacKellar is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our high-performing maintenance team at an established mine site just 15 minutes from Blackwater.
This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, a great lifestyle roster and the chance to work on a large fleet of heavy mining equipment.

- $75.00/hr + super paid on all rostered hours
- 7/7 roster – rotating days and nights

About the Role

As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of a large fleet of heavy mining equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out maintenance, repairs and component change-outs on heavy mobile plant
- Performing diagnostics, fault finding, inspections, overhauls and scheduled servicing
- Completing planned and preventative maintenance safely and efficiently
- Undertaking daily operational support tasks, including refuelling where required
- Working autonomously while following site procedures and safety systems




- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring all work meets strict safety, quality and compliance standards

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter
- Proven experience working on heavy mining or earthmoving equipment
- Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and repair capabilities
- Current Queensland Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain
- Standard 11 or willingness to obtain
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
