Grace Lutheran Primary School is a great little stand-alone primary school on the Redcliffe Peninsula. We are well established school (1971) co-educational school that is owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia (Queensland District). Grace Primary has beautiful modern facilities and is a well established and resourced school of around 490 students (P-6). We have a strong relationship with our Early Learning Centre (onsite, 2-5 year olds) and Grace Lutheran College (Rothwell, Years 7-12).
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated classroom teacher to join our team on a full-time contract for an immediate start (or beginning of Term 4) through to the end of 2026 school year. The position is for an upper primary class. Ongoing employment may be available for the right candidate and circumstances.
Classroom teachers are responsible for teaching their class English,
Mathematics and Integrated Studies (transdisciplinary units with a conceptual inquiry approach). Social emotional education is also an important part of our education program with The Resilience Project and Restorative Practices as core components.
Class teachers work strongly within their collaborative year level teams and design units to engage, educate and excite their diverse learners.
Class teachers receive 3 hours 40 minutes non-contact time a week when their learners go to specialist lessons of Japanese, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Christian Studies and STEM.
We are also seeking teachers to add to our relief teaching team.
