The Role

As our Queensland operations continue to grow, we are looking for experienced Vac Truck Operators to join our strong and growing team based in Luscombe, Queensland. Working between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, this position will work on a variety of construction and site-based projects.

Working out of a brand new depot, and with a modern fleet of vehicles and equipment, successful candidates will join a tightknit local team. Queensland does not stand alone, the team will be members of the broader QEST Operators team working across Victoria and South Australia.

The role of an Operator will suit an individual who is hard working and enjoys working outdoors, this role is around 20% driving and 80% on the tools.

Role requirements:

- Driving HR Truck with Hydro excavation unit





- Drain cleaning

- Non-destructive digging with high pressure water to safely locate underground services

- Work independently and in line with all safety guidelines to highest possible efficiencies.

- Liaise and assist clients on site as required ensuring they receive a first-class service from the QEST team.

- Complete relevant paperwork for each job.

- Adhere to all Company and legislative WHS policies and procedures.

- Ability to work extended hours if required.

About You

To be successful in this role, candidates will have:

- Ideally at least 2 years relevant experience working in a similar role.

- White Card.

- Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence.

- Solid mechanical aptitude.

- Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW) - an advantage.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and pass any/all random drug and alcohol tests.
