Trump Steel is looking for an experienced and motivated Trade Sales Person to join our growing team at our Yatala branch.

This is a hands-on trade sales position suited to someone who has experience in the steel, construction, building or hardware industry and understands the needs of tradies, builders and other trade customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage incoming trade sales enquiries by phone, email and in person

- Prepare accurate quotes and follow up with customers

- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers

- Process customer orders and coordinate with the warehouse team

- Provide product advice and assist customers in selecting the correct steel products

- Serve customers at the trade counter

- Assist with pricing and sourcing of products

- Follow up outstanding quotes and sales opportunities

- Liaise with suppliers when required

- Assist with picking and packing orders when required

- Occasionally assist with deliveries and loading/unloading steel

- Maintain a clean, organised and professional sales environment

- Provide excellent customer service from enquiry through to completed order

About You

The successful applicant will ideally have:

- Previous experience in trade sales, steel sales, building supplies or a similar industry

- Good knowledge of steel products, sizes and applications

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- The ability to confidently deal with tradies, builders and the general public

- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new systems





- Strong attention to detail when quoting and processing orders

- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team

- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude

- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

A forklift licence and experience handling steel will be highly regarded but are not essential.

The Role

This is a full-time position based at Trump Steel, Yatala.

The role is varied, with a combination of sales, customer service and hands-on trade duties. You won't be stuck behind a desk all day — you'll be dealing directly with customers, working alongside the warehouse team and getting involved in the day-to-day operation of a growing steel business.
