About the role

The HR Director/ Head of People and Culture is responsible for delivering a comprehensive, commercially focused and employee-centric Human Resources service across Meinhardt Australia. The role provides end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle, partnering with the CEO, Executive Committee, senior leaders and managers to build organisational capability, support employee engagement and performance, attract and retain talent, manage employee relations and ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation. The role is responsible for the development and implementation of contemporary HR practices, policies, programs and initiatives that support Meinhardt's business strategy, culture and growth objectives. As a member of the senior leadership team, the role holds key accountability for leading the organisation's people strategy, ensuring workforce capability, leadership strength, organisational effectiveness and culture are aligned with the company's strategic priorities. The role provides executive-level advice to the CEO and Executive Committee on all people, talent, culture and organisational matters, contributing directly to business growth,



profitability and long-term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

- Provide HR and employee relations advice to managers and employees

- Ensure compliance with Fair Work, NES, awards and other relevant legislation

- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding

- Lead end-to-end recruitment across the organisation

- Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives

- Develop and lead the organisation's People and Culture Strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic business objectives

- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Committee on organisational effectiveness, workforce capability, leadership development, succession planning and culture

- Lead the adoption of AI and digital tools to improve HR processes, employee experience and operational efficiency

- Partner with business leaders to improve utilisation, workforce capacity planning and resource allocation across disciplines and offices

- Build leadership capability across the business through coaching, mentoring and the implementation of leadership development frameworks

About you

- Well-developed knowledge of, and experience in the application of contemporary HR procedures and practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing

- Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and control own workload

- Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment

- Experience implementing HR technology, people analytics and AI-enabled solutions to improve organisational effectiveness

- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality

- Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to a small team

- Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation

- Integrity and professional behaviour when dealing with internal staff and external clients and suppliers

- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
