Culture & Benefits
We take pride in continuously building and improving our culture, and we welcome people who share our values. We regularly seek feedback through engagement surveys, 1:1s, focus groups, and even casual coffee catch-ups. Our average employee tenure of 6+ years is a testament to the supportive and rewarding environment we’ve created and we’ve got plenty of exciting things planned for the future!

Benefits you’ll enjoy include:

- Extra time off with additional annual leave, RDOs, and the option to purchase extra leave
- Hybrid working arrangements for all employees
- Learning and development opportunities, including annual development budgets, tailored development plans, paid study leave, and stretch opportunities
- Regular social activities, from monthly team lunches to annual company-wide events
- Comprehensive health and wellbeing programs, including EAP,

flu shots, and run club
- Paid volunteering leave to give back to the community

About the role:
Drive quality through automation-first test strategy and coverage, catching defects pre-release and regressions post-ship. Shape sprint planning, scope, and effort estimation as the pod's sole QA, partnering with the broader QA group for design review and escalation.

What you’ll be doing:

- Own test strategy and automated test coverage for all features delivered by the AI Automation team
- Analyse requirements and specifications to define test scope, surfacing gaps, ambiguities, and edge cases before development begins
- Contribute to test input into sprint planning, refinement, and stand-ups, including effort estimates and test environment requirements
- Design test plans spanning functional, edge, and negative cases, prioritising depth on higher-risk areas
- Build and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests (TypeScript or Python) for the team's features, starting with critical user journey
- Triage, reproduce, and track client-reported bugs and escalated support tickets through to resolution
- Share escalation load by participating in the QA escalation rotation across the SF360 and SI360 product group
- Partner with the Product Manager, Business Analyst, developers, and wider QA group to resolve issues and continuously improve testing practices

What we’re looking for:

- 4+ years in software testing, including at least two years writing and maintaining automated test suites
- Proficient in TypeScript or Python, with working knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience with Playwright or a comparable end-to-end framework
- SQL beyond the basics, including multi-table joins and aggregation, to validate data independently
- Hands on experience testing complex browser-based applications, ideally where data accuracy matters as much as how the interface behaves
- Confident and curious with AI-assisted tooling, and able to recognise when its output is wrong. Exposure to Claude Code, Jira, or Confluence is an advantage
- Communicates clearly verbally and in writing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, producing defect reports exact enough for a developer to action without needing follow-up clarification
- Able to work autonomously and own the QA role
- Agile delivery experience preferred. Accounting, SMSF, or financial software experience or an ability to quickly learn industry-specific challenges
- Collaborates with influence and partners closely with PM, BA, and Developers, and isn't afraid to challenge decisions to drive quality improvements
- Owns beyond the brief and brings an entrepreneurial mindset to QA, actively shaping and improving practices across the wider product group

Please note we are only able to consider applicants with full working rights for Australia.

- We review applications on an ongoing basis so encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
- The next stage of our recruitment process will require you to complete a one way video interview.
