FVS Services Group is a leading provider of fire protection and compliance services across Queensland. We work with clients across the education, healthcare, commercial, retail, industrial and government sectors to protect people, property and business continuity.

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Fire Safety Advisor to join our Brisbane-based team.

Managing an established portfolio of clients, you will provide practical advice and support across building fire safety compliance, emergency planning, training and evacuation preparedness. This is a varied, autonomous role offering significant client interaction and travel throughout Southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales.

About the role

As a Fire Safety Advisor, you will:

- Develop, review and maintain fire and evacuation plans, evacuation signs and diagrams.

- Conduct annual reviews of fire safety documentation.

- Review prescribed fire safety installation maintenance records and advise clients of identified compliance issues.

- Liaise with clients, building occupiers and Queensland Fire Department officers during inspections and compliance activities.

- Coordinate and facilitate evacuation exercises.

- Deliver general evacuation, first-response and evacuation coordination instruction.

- Coach and support Emergency Control Organisation members and wardens.

- Provide practical advice regarding building fire safety obligations and potential compliance breaches.

- Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients.





- Identify opportunities where additional fire protection or compliance services may benefit the client.

About you

To be successful, you will have:

- Fire Safety Adviser qualification issued by an approved provider within the past three years.

- Experience in building fire safety, emergency management, regulatory compliance or a related field.

- Experience delivering training, presentations or instruction to groups.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent organisational, administrative and computer skills.

- Confidence working autonomously and managing a portfolio of clients.

- A professional and practical approach to client and stakeholder engagement.

- A current Australian driver’s licence.

- The ability to travel throughout South East Queensland and northern Current South Wales, with occasional additional intrastate and interstate travel.

Recent experience in the Queensland fire safety industry or a similar service-based environment will be highly regarded.
