About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Provisional Psychologist to join our Allied Health team in Logan on a full-time fixed-term contract until July 2027.

You'll deliver evidence-based, time-limited psychological therapies while contributing to multidisciplinary case consultations. The role also supports the delivery of Positive Behaviour Support and capacity-building interventions for people experiencing severe mental health challenges and dual disabilities. Services are provided through outreach, telehealth and in-person appointments using strengths-based, recovery-oriented approaches.

About the service





The Allied Health service delivers a range of specialist supports and clinical services to help clients with complex mental health needs and dual disabilities achieve meaningful recovery outcomes. Through a multidisciplinary team, services include brief interventions, psychological therapies, mental health counselling, vocational assistance, and access to service provider networks.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions tailored to individual client needs.
- Provide person-centred, recovery-focused therapeutic support using strengths-based approaches.
- Participate in team-based practice support, reflective practice and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers and external stakeholders to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while contributing to continuous service improvement and quality practice.

What you’ll bring

- Tertiary degree qualifications in Psychology or other health related field with provisional or eligibility for provisional registration with AHPRA.
- Experience delivering therapeutic support through placements or professional practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, carers,



and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of the NDIS, community mental health sector, and recovery-oriented practice is desirable.
- A current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle for outreach work (kilometre reimbursement provided).
