About the Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Leadership Team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering apprentice and technical training programs across our fabrication operations. You'll ensure employees have the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver structured training for apprentices completing their Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.
- Develop and deliver engaging technical training programs aligned with manufacturing processes and standards.
- Create and maintain training materials,
assessments, presentations and practical exercises.
- Work closely with production leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs.
- Conduct training on fabrication techniques, equipment operation, maintenance procedures and quality standards.
- Assess trainee performance and provide constructive coaching and feedback.
- Support onboarding and compliance training for new employees.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement and lifelong learning.
- Assist with training-related process improvements across production operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Essential:
- Trade qualification in Fabrication, Sheet Metal or a related engineering discipline.
- Significant hands-on fabrication experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or delivering technical training.
- Strong communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and develop people with varying skill levels.
- A strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
- Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
- Previous experience delivering structured apprenticeship programs.
