About Us

Centigrade Services is a well-established HVAC and mechanical services company operating throughout Western Australia. Our Albany team works across a broad range of commercial, industrial and government facilities, carrying out mechanical installations, maintenance, repairs and project works.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant to join our Albany team.

The Role

This is a hands-on role working alongside our qualified refrigeration, air-conditioning and mechanical technicians across a variety of sites throughout Albany and the Great Southern.

The position would suit someone with previous trade or construction experience, or someone who is mechanically minded and looking to develop a long-term career within the HVAC and mechanical industry.

Some regional/away work will be required from time to time, generally Monday to Friday only, with overtime also regularly available.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist tradespeople with HVAC and mechanical installations, maintenance and repairs

- Assist with ductwork, pipework, equipment installation and general mechanical works

- Safely operate hand and power tools

- Assist with loading, unloading and delivery of equipment and materials

- Maintain clean and organised work areas and vehicles

- Follow company procedures, SWMS and site safety requirements





- Work effectively as part of a team across a variety of commercial and industrial sites

What You’ll Need

- Previous experience in a trades assistant, construction or mechanical role is preferred but not essential

- Basic hand tools

- White Card (Construction Induction)

- Current WA Driver’s Licence

- Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

- Ability to work safely and follow instructions

- Physically capable of carrying out manual and installation work

- Willingness to undertake occasional regional/away work

- Willingness to work overtime when required
