About our Company

We care for children from 6 weeks to Kindergarten. We are a growing family business that takes pride in our Centres and offering the best to our families. With new Centres opening we are always on the hunt for passionate, knowledgeable Educators to join our team.

About the Centre

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our large 7-room child care centre.

Working alongside our Centre Cook, you will play an important role in supporting the preparation and delivery of fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for the children.

About the role

- Assist with food preparation and basic meal preparation

- Support the Cook with our four-week rotational menu

- Prepare and serve meals and snacks as required

- Assist with washing dishes and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen

- Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, equipment and surfaces

- Assist with food storage and stock rotation

- Follow food safety, hygiene and allergy-management procedures

- Help ensure meals are prepared and served in a safe and timely manner

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking

- Well organised and able to work efficiently in a busy environment

- Passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

- Comfortable working as part of a team

- Friendly and respectful when working around children and educators

- Previous kitchen, hospitality or child care experience is desirable but not essential

Required Qualifications & Desired Skills

- A Growth Mindset,

- A love of learning,

- Ability in developing and maintaining positive relationships with children families and colleagues,

- Suitable qualifications for the role,

- Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards and the QKLG,

- Current Working With Children's Check - Blue Card,

- Knowledge of relevant legislative policies, standards and requirements.
