The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Officer with extensive knowledge of procurement in a local, state or federal government setting for a up to 3‑year contract.
Responsibilities
- Deliver medium and high‑risk procurement processes, including procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation, in consultation with stakeholders and across multiple project teams.
Qualifications
- A degree in procurement, business, law, or related fields with five years experience; or a diploma with 10 years experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a procurement team, knowledge and understanding of procurement policies, guidelines and procedures in a local and/or public sector environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure to meet performance targets.
- High level of attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Additional information
- All applications will be assessed by merit-based principles. Where an applicant does not fully meet the requirements, the role may be reclassified and an alternative remuneration package may be offered.
- The salary commences at step 1, with potential progression within the range based on demonstrated skills and experience, typically occurring at the conclusion of each 12‑month period.
- Applicants must complete a drug and alcohol test.
- The recruitment process may also be used to identify candidates for other permanent or fixed‑term opportunities over the next 12 months.
