Engineering Manager – Exterior Systems

ARB Corporation Ltd, a leading ASX top‑100 company, is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Exterior Systems portfolio, covering the Earth Camper, Awnings & Coverings, and BASE Rack roof system.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Exterior Systems engineering team, including development of the Earth Camper, Awnings & Coverings, and BASE Rack systems.
- Lead teams through change in a dynamic engineering and product development environment.
- Oversee the full product development lifecycle – from concept, design, prototyping, testing, to production release, including ongoing changes and enhancements.
- Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards in alignment with ARB’s brand and performance expectations, taking on a project‑management role within the team.
- Ensure innovative engineering outputs comply with relevant standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product management, marketing, manufacturing, procurement, and sales.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers.
- Coordinate ongoing changes and enhancements to products across multiple manufacturing sites, locations and suppliers.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams or technical departments,



with demonstrated experience in driving performance.
- Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects end‑to‑end, adapting plans and resources to successfully deliver change through complex supply chains.
- Proven experience in large part count, electro‑mechanical product development, ideally within automotive, outdoor, or off‑road sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), PLM, ERP and change‑management systems.
- Knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) and working within production environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Continuous improvement mindset, for both product and process initiatives.
- An active interest in 4x4, camping, or off‑road adventure highly regarded.
