Housing Australia is the Australian Government’s independent housing delivery agency that supports the delivery of Government programs to improve the supply of sustainable, long‑term social and affordable housing, and supports home ownership for more Australians.

About The Role

The Business Engagement Partner plays a key role in connecting business priorities with technology delivery outcomes across Housing Australia. Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, platform leaders and vendors, the role supports the planning and delivery of technology initiatives by translating business needs into actionable requirements, coordinating project and vendor activities, and monitoring progress against agreed commitments. This position also helps ensure effective governance, reporting, risk management and stakeholder engagement, contributing to the successful delivery of technology solutions that support organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand needs, define requirements, and translate business priorities into actionable delivery plans and outcomes.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of technology initiatives, managing project activities, dependencies, risks, timelines, and stakeholder engagement using agile delivery practices.
- Manage vendor implementation activities and performance, tracking deliverables, milestones, service levels, and ensuring vendors meet agreed commitments and business expectations.
- Maintain strong governance and reporting disciplines, including status reporting, risk and issue management, decision tracking, executive updates, and portfolio reporting to support transparent and effective delivery.





Qualifications

- Experience in business engagement, project management, business analysis, or technology delivery, with the ability to manage competing priorities and support successful project outcomes.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and project governance, including managing backlogs, delivery plans, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience working with technology vendors and SaaS solutions, including coordinating deliverables, monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs, and managing implementation activities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, prepare governance and reporting materials, exercise sound judgement, and work effectively across business and technology teams.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, technology, project management, business analysis, or a related discipline are desirable. Agile, ITIL, project management, or vendor management certifications will be highly regarded.
