Business Development Manager - Environmental & Industrial

Location: Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane

The Opportunity

Join a global scientific organisation in a commercially focused Business Development Manager role, driving growth through new business development, market expansion and strategic account management across environmental and industrial markets.

About the Role

- Identify and develop new business opportunities and market segments.
- Manage and grow key customer accounts.
- Develop and execute territory and market strategies.
- Build relationships with customers, industry partners and key stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams to deliver customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within CRM.
- Contribute to sales planning, forecasting and revenue growth.
- Represent the organisation at customer meetings, industry events and conferences.

Requirements

- 3-5 years' experience in business development, sales or a related commercial role.
- A tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering,



Business or a related discipline.
- Experience within a scientific, environmental, industrial, technical or related sector.
- A demonstrated track record of developing new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong commercial, analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and analysing customer and market data.
- The ability to identify market opportunities and translate insights into commercial outcomes.
- A proactive and self‑directed approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required.

Experience across environmental, industrial, scientific or technical markets will be highly regarded.
