A well-established, global leader in hydraulic lifting, loading and handling equipment is growing its NSW operation and is looking for an experienced Workshop Fitter to join the team in Rydalmere . You’ll be working on high-quality equipment with strong systems, training and long-term stability.
About the role
This is a hands‑on workshop position focused on the preparation, installation, servicing and repair of hydraulic lifting equipment built to customer specifications.
You’ll be working across new builds, pre-delivery work, scheduled maintenance and breakdowns , within a safety‑first, team‑based workshop environment.
Key responsibilities
- Workshop installation and preparation of hydraulic lifting equipment to customer specs
- Truck hydraulic installs (incl. PTO/pumps where required)
- Hydraulic hosing , component replacement and leak rectification
- Mechanical fault finding, servicing and repair (scheduled + breakdown)
- Welding and fabrication (subframes, bracketry, modifications, repairs)
- Minor auto‑electrical tasks as required
- Complete job documentation and maintain high housekeeping standards
What we’re looking for
- Proven mechanical fitting experience (workshop-based preferred)
- Strong hydraulic servicing/repair capability and diagnostic skills
- Welding/fabrication exposure (ticketed ideal, practical capability essential)
- Heavy vehicle / truck body / lifting equipment experience highly regarded
- Safety‑first attitude, reliable, high attention to detail
- Ability to pass pre‑employment medical + drug & alcohol screening
