Maintenance Electrician – Somersby

Day Shift | $66.52 per hour casual rate | Temp-to-Permanent Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the maintenance team at our client's manufacturing facility in Somersby .

This is a day-shift position commencing at approximately 6:00am , with some flexibility available for the right person. Initially offered on a casual basis, the role provides a genuine opportunity to transition into permanent employment with our client.

The Role

Working within a busy manufacturing setting, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimise downtime and support the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production machinery
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising production downtime
- Completing scheduled preventative and planned maintenance
- Conducting automation and PLC fault finding
- Maintaining equipment including conveyors, mixers, cutting lines and autoclaves
- Supporting equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with production, engineering and other maintenance personnel




- Liaising with contractors attending the site
- Ensuring all work complies with WHS requirements and site safety procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Electrical trade qualifications and a current NSW Electrical Licence
- Previous electrical maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing or heavy-industry environment
- Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance capabilities
- Experience with automation systems and PLC fault finding
- Preventative and planned maintenance experience
- A strong commitment to workplace safety
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team
- Reliable transport to Somersby

Desirable:

- Forklift Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space certification
