An established and highly regarded architectural practice is looking for a Graduate or Registered Architect to join its Melbourne team. This is a great prospect for an architect who wants to work on major healthcare projects , take ownership of documentation and develop their career within a busy, collaborative practice.
The practice has a strong pipeline of work and is looking for someone who can hit the ground running , work autonomously and contribute heavily during the documentation phase.
The Opportunity
You will be joining a team working across a range of architectural projects, with a particular focus on healthcare . A key upcoming project involves the new build and fit-out of operating theatres and hospital wards , making previous healthcare documentation experience essential.
You’ll work predominantly across technical documentation and Revit , while having the opportunity to contribute across the broader project lifecycle from early design through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed architectural documentation using Revit .
- Work across healthcare projects from design development through to construction documentation.
- Contribute to the documentation of operating theatres, wards and other clinical environments .
- Apply relevant healthcare design standards and requirements to documentation.
- Coordinate architectural documentation with consultants and other disciplines.
- Work closely with senior architects and project teams to resolve design and documentation issues.
- Assist across concept, schematic design, design development and delivery stages where required.
- Manage your own workload and deadlines across multiple projects.Communicate effectively with clients, consultants and internal teams.
- Contribute to both architectural and, where relevant, interior design elements of projects.
- Minimum 4 years' professional architectural experience .
- A Bachelor/Master of Architecture or equivalent qualification.
- Graduate Architects are welcome; Registered Architects will also be considered .
- Robust healthcare project experience , particularly documentation.
- Advanced Revit skills – essential .
- Previous experience working to Australian healthcare standards .
- Strong technical documentation capability.
- The ability to work predominantly hands-on in Revit rather than purely managing documentation teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and technical understanding.
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your projects.
- A proactive attitude and genuine drive to progress your career.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
