Flooring Xtra is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service & Sales Consultant to join our established and growing flooring business located between Northern Gold Coast and Brisbane.

This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales, in-home measures, quoting and relationship building. You'll work with builders, homeowners and renovation clients, helping them select flooring solutions and guiding them through the process from initial enquiry to final sale.

About the Role

As a Customer Service & Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences while actively converting enquiries into sales.

You will work across our showroom, customer homes & builders, assisting clients with flooring selections, completing site measures, preparing quotations and following up opportunities. You'll become a trusted advisor who helps customers make informed flooring decisions while building long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver outstanding customer service to homeowners & builders.
- Welcome and assist customers in our showroom.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable flooring solutions.
- Build strong relationships with customers and industry contacts.
- Follow up quotations and sales opportunities.
- Maintain ongoing communication throughout the sales process.




- Ensure customer enquiries are handled promptly and professionally.

In-Home Measures & Quotations

- Visit customer homes and building sites to complete flooring measures.
- Accurately calculate flooring quantities and requirements.
- Read and interpret residential house plans and specifications.
- Identify site conditions that may impact installation requirements.
- Explain flooring options, products and pricing to customers.
- Ensure quotations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Builder & Client Support

- Liaise with builders, colour consultants and homeowners.
- Manage customer enquiries and quotation requests.
- Provide updates and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Assist customers in selecting colours, styles and product options.

Administration

- Process sales paperwork and associated administration.
- Ensure measurements, notes and customer communications are accurately recorded.

About You

You may currently work in:

- Flooring sales
- Tiles or bathroom products
- Window furnishings
- Interior design or colour consulting
- Hardware or trade retail
- Building or renovation sales

Skills & Experience

- Previous sales experience with a demonstrated ability to build customer relationships.




- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to confidently work with homeowners, builders and tradespeople.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Current driver's licence.
- Ability to complete in-home measures and site visits.

Highly Regarded

- Experience in flooring sales.
- Experience preparing quotations or estimates.
- Ability to read residential building plans.
- Knowledge of residential building and renovation processes.
- Experience working with builders or construction-related industries.
