Paralegal

Department: NSW Department of Customer Service (DCS) – Legal Division

Location: Sydney CBD (flexible hybrid work options available)

Grade: Clerk Grade 03/04

Employment type: Ongoing full‑time position

Salary range: $84,659 – $92,701 + super, leave loading, commensurate with experience

Closing date: 13 November 2023, 10am (Thursday)

Responsibilities

- Provide a range of paralegal functions to support productive legal services, including general administrative support.
- Undertake legal research and assist in preparing draft advice and briefing documents.
- Assist in managing compliance with subpoenas, collating and reviewing documents to be produced.
- Support lawyers in managing claims, litigation and other legal matters.
- Act as a point of contact with customers and stakeholders, responding to enquiries and providing information.

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant experience and/or qualifications in a legal or administrative role.
- Motivated team player who can work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Client‑focused with strong analytical,



lateral thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with junior and senior lawyers on matter management, reporting and precedents.
