About the Urgent Care Clinical Manager role
If you're an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in your clinical leadership career, this is an opportunity to lead a busy, community-based Urgent Care Clinic while maintaining your clinical practice. You'll lead a team of GPs, RNs and reception staff, with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the service, patient flow, workforce planning, clinical quality and safety, and service improvement.
This is a full time Monday–Friday role based at our busy Northcote site, with no night shifts and a monthly accrued day off. You'll be well connected by public transport and, importantly, have great coffee nearby! This role would suit an experienced RN leader from an emergency, urgent care, primary care or community health setting who is ready to take responsibility for the clinical and operational leadership of a busy urgent care service.
Your Passion and Commitment will see you:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality urgent care service
- Maintain a hands-on clinical presence while managing day-to-day clinic operations
- Oversee recruitment, rostering, workforce planning and staff development
- Drive patient flow, service efficiency, quality and clinical governance outcomes
- Build strong relationships with local healthcare providers and stakeholders
- Oversee clinical quality, safety and client experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with triage experience
- Experience in Emergency, Urgent Care, Primary Care or remote area nursing
- Experience in a senior nursing leadership role such as NUM, ANUM, Clinical Coordinator or Team Leader experience highly regarded
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skill
- Passion for patient-centred care and team development
- Able to work autonomously and confidently lead a multidisciplinary team
