About the Role
As a member of the Client Services and Development Team, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading and coordinating the safe delivery of environmental projects from tender through to completion. The role plays a critical part in ensuring projects achieve client, commercial, environmental, quality and safety outcomes.
Working closely with clients, operational leaders, scheduling, logistics and field-based teams,
you will oversee project planning, resource coordination, procurement, risk management and project delivery to ensure successful outcomes across a diverse portfolio of environmental works.
Reporting to the Program, Estimation & Preworks Lead, you will build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while helping foster a values-driven culture built on trust, accountability, inclusion and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Managing allocated projects and service delivery programs from planning through to completion.
- Leading project planning activities including methodology development, procurement, scheduling and resource coordination.
- Preparing project documentation including Project Management Plans, Environmental Management Plans, Safety Management Plans and Inspection & Test Plans.
- Managing project budgets, timelines, risks, quality requirements and reporting obligations.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Working closely with Scheduling, Logistics and Operational teams to ensure resources, materials and equipment are available to meet project requirements.
- Leading safe operations and ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative and HSEQ management system requirements.
- Supporting tender,
quotation and business development activities while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Providing leadership, coaching and support to field-based teams and contractors to achieve positive project outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced project qualified with demonstrated success delivering environmental, natural resource management, conservation, land management, construction, infrastructure or related projects. You are organised, commercially aware, safety-focused and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
You bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and coordinating resources to achieve quality outcomes.
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, procurement and project risk.
- A commitment to safety leadership and compliance within operational environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with operational teams, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Sound communication skills and the ability to lead through influence, collaboration and professionalism.
- Relevant qualifications in Environmental Science, Conservation and Land Management, Agriculture, Project Management or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong digital literacy and experience using project management and business systems.
- A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to achieving sustainable outcomes.
