Goodstart is looking for an experienced SAP Payroll Product & System Owner to lead the performance, support and ongoing evolution of our enterprise payroll platform.

As the technical and product owner of our SAP ECC HCM/Payroll solution, you’ll ensure this critical platform remains stable, compliant and aligned with Goodstart’s business needs. You’ll combine hands-on SAP Payroll expertise with product ownership, stakeholder engagement and vendor management to drive system improvements and deliver an effective experience for our people.

You’ll also play an significant role in shaping Goodstart’s payroll technology roadmap, including our transition to SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.

Your Impact:
As part of the Corporate Services IT team, you’ll be the primary subject matter expert for the SAP Payroll platform. Working closely with Payroll, Employee Services, ICT teams, business stakeholders and external service partners, you will:
* Own the SAP Payroll product strategy, roadmap and prioritised backlog
* Lead the administration, configuration, support and optimisation of SAP ECC 6.0 HCM/Payroll
* Deliver system enhancements, legislative updates and payroll-related changes
* Oversee payroll integrations between SAP ECC, SAP SuccessFactors and other business systems
* Coordinate impact assessments, testing, transport management, deployment and business readiness
* Oversee production support, incident resolution and root cause analysis
* Strengthen payroll system governance, controls, reconciliation and audit readiness
* Manage relationships with SAP and external service partners to support performance, service delivery and continuous improvement
* Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, reliability and the user experience
* Contribute to Goodstart’s transition to SAP S/4HANA and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll

You’ll bring to the table:
* At least five years’ experience supporting, administering and configuring SAP HCM/Payroll
* Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 HCM/Payroll, including schemas, rules, wage types and payroll functionality
* Experience supporting SAP Payroll integrations, interfaces, custom developments and data reconciliation
* Proven experience delivering payroll system enhancements through structured change, testing, release and transport processes
* Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements, including PAYG withholding, Superannuation Guarantee, Single Touch Payroll, Pay Day Super and statutory reporting
* Strong understanding of payroll governance, controls, reconciliation and audit requirements
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including incident management, defect resolution and root cause analysis
* Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear business outcomes




* Experience managing external technology vendors or service partners
* Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and broader SuccessFactors solutions will be highly regarded
* Current QLD Working with Children Check

* Willing to obtain a Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform
