About the Opportunity

The Clinical Nurse in the Staff Occupational Health Unit (SOHU) is responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive, evidence-based staff occupational health service at Royal Perth Bentley Mt Lawley Group. This includes management of staff pre-employment health assessments, immunisation programs, occupational and staff communicable disease exposures including contract tracing, and as part of a multidisciplinary team also provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care. Facilitates and assist with occupational health projects, promoting staff safety. The Clinical Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

• Demonstrate ability to show initiative, exercise sound judgement, recognise when situations require escalation, and deliver safe, person-centred care within own scope of practice

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build collaborative working relationships with team members, existing and prospective employees, senior management, and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to support positive outcomes in high quality service delivery

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
