Join the Pharmacy Department as an Administration Officer and provide a range of administrative support services to facilitate effective service delivery. Responsibilities include responding to enquiries from staff, patients and visitors; providing administrative support across pharmacy services; assisting with AVAC submissions, HRS updates, meeting coordination, recruitment documentation and procurement; and supporting the Pharmacy Outpatients front counter, Oncology Pharmacy and Sexual Health Pharmacy as required.
About us:
Cairns Hospital Pharmacy Department offers an extensive range of services to the CHHHS. Our department employs approximately 70 Pharmacists including specialists in areas of nephrology, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, older persons, paediatrics, infectious diseases and mental health. This is in addition to a large general medical, general surgical, and critical care service, and a high paced inpatient and outpatient dispensary. The Pharmacy at Cairns Hospital also provides operational management to the pharmacy teams at Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba and Mossman.

About your role:
- Provide a quality client service including liaising with staff, public and private patients, carers and external agencies as required in a confidential manner.
- Ensure administration and business procedures and systems are well considered, documented and operate effectively and efficiently.
- Provide administrative support to all Activity Based Funding generated by Cairns Hospital Pharmacy.
- Effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders and staff, ensuring high standards of service are provided when answering client enquiries via the telephone ensuring the enquiries are directed to the appropriate staff member within acceptable timeframes. Screen calls and re-direct where appropriate, answer routine queries and prioritise calls.
