Rangers protect and manage Queensland's national parks, state forests and reserves, ensuring they remain accessible, sustainable and valued by all Queenslanders.
Lead a dedicated team of Rangers in the Granite Belt, responsible for the stewardship of Girraween National Park and surrounding protected areas, one of Queensland's most iconic visitor destinations. This rewarding leadership role offers the prospect to drive conservation outcomes, enhance visitor experiences and deliver operational excellence across a landscape renowned for its granite formations, biodiversity and wildflowers. You will balance conservation priorities with safe, sustainable visitor experiences while fostering a positive team culture and strong stakeholder relationships.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Displays a keen interest in in conservation, protected area management, and delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
- Demonstrates proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead,
motivate and develop a high-performing team in a dynamic operational environment.
- Has experience balancing conservation priorities with the management of high visitation parks and recreation opportunities.
- Builds and maintains productive relationships with staff, Traditional Owners, community groups, tourism operators and other stakeholders.
- Possesses strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in managing competing priorities and operational risks.
- Is adaptable, resilient and committed to fostering a positive team culture while delivering outstanding outcomes for Queensland's parks and visitors.
- Ability to support and share skills with a diverse group of people
