The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking a Communications Officer (Stakeholder Engagement) to join our Southern Queensland Region team based in Toowoomba. As part of Program Delivery and Operations, you'll support communication and stakeholder engagement activities that help deliver Queensland's transport infrastructure program. Working closely with project teams, community stakeholders and government representatives, you'll play an important role in ensuring information is communicated clearly, accurately and professionally.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating and preparing correspondence, supporting stakeholder engagement activities, developing communication materials, responding to enquiries, maintaining stakeholder records,



and contributing to the management of issues and risks associated with project delivery. You'll also work with project teams to support community engagement activities, project milestones and communication requirements across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

We're looking for someone who can:

Communicate effectively and tailor messages for different audiences. Build positive working relationships with stakeholders and team members. Manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Work within established governance, systems and processes. Contribute positively to a collaborative and customer-focused team environment.

Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, government correspondence or a project environment will be beneficial. Qualifications in communications, public relations or a related discipline are desirable, along with experience using correspondence management or document management systems.
