Looking for a role where no two days are the same? Join the Central Queensland Region Procurement Team as a Finance Advisor and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Queensland's transport infrastructure program. Working with project teams across the region, you'll provide procurement advice, manage contract administration activities, process financial transactions and help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in line with governance requirements. This temporary opportunity offers exposure to a diverse range of infrastructure and non infrastructure projects, while allowing you to build your skills in procurement, finance and stakeholder engagement within a supportive team environment based in Mackay.

Transport and Main Roads is seeking a Finance Advisor to join the Program Support team in Mackay. This temporary opportunity offers the chance to develop your procurement and financial management expertise while contributing to the delivery of critical transport infrastructure projects across Central Queensland. Working as part of the Central Queensland Region Procurement Team, you'll provide finance, procurement and contract administration support across a range of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. Your work will help ensure procurement activities are delivered efficiently,
comply with departmental requirements and provide value for money outcomes.
In this wide-ranging role, you will:
Provide procurement advice and support to regional stakeholders. Coordinate procurement activities and contribute to contract administration processes.
Support contract establishment, progress payments and contract variationsProcess purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoices through departmental systems.
Undertake accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation activities. Maintain accurate financial and procurement records in line with governance requirements.
Use systems such as SAP, 3PCM and Microsoft Excel to support regional financial management activities.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can build strong working relationships and has a keen eye for detail. You will be able to manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and confidently apply policies and procedures to support sound financial and procurement outcomes.
Based in Mackay, you'll be part of a team supporting the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects across Central Queensland. From coastal communities to regional centres and outback Queensland, the work you do will help support projects that keep people and goods moving safely and efficiently across the region.
