About the Agency

The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems.

We are recruiting for a Director, Infrastructure Planning to lead the planning and delivery of major technology releases that support critical national platforms including My Health Record, 1800MEDICARE and Provider Directory Australia.

As the Director, Infrastructure Planning, you'll own the planning and coordination of complex technology programs across nationally significant digital health platforms. You'll lead strategic release planning, partner closely with vendors and senior stakeholders, and ensure major initiatives are delivered successfully.

The key duties of the position include:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of technology projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope and budget.

• Build strong partnerships with technology vendors and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of initiatives and releases.

• Identify, prioritise and drive technology initiatives that improve services, increase operational efficiency and deliver greater value to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with teams across technology delivery, cyber security, product management and vendor management to align priorities, manage dependencies and ensure successful outcomes.

• Champion best-practice project governance, ensuring compliance with project management frameworks, policies and organisational processes.

Key Criteria





• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and managing technical and operational teams across geographically diverse locations.

• Strong leadership skills, including mentoring and professional development of technical and operational teams.

• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and audience-appropriate project documentation, business requirements and executive reports.

• Demonstrates strong personal accountability, professionalism and organisational skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and effectively support and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of systems such as Service Now and Azure DevOps and proficiency in tools like Confluence

Eligibility

Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary: This role offers between $148,641 - $175,981 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
