The Healthy Pregnancy, Kids and Families team provides strategic oversight and governance of key prevention and population health programs spanning pregnancy and early childhood. The team acts as a central coordination point for cross-government and interstate partners, ensuring cohesive collaboration, alignment and delivery of shared government commitments across sectors. The purpose of the role is to manage Kids and Families project activities to enable the timely and effective delivery of complex and system-wide programs using a partnership approach.

Your key responsibilities:

- Lead, manage and evaluate system-wide Kids and Families projects, programs and priority initiatives.
- Use evidence-based improvement and project management methodologies to support the design and adaptation of best practice for Kids and Families projects, programs and initiatives.
- Actively contribute to the development of innovative solutions for complex system problems relating to statewide children and family health services.
- Analyse data, policy and information to support activities, monitoring and evaluation of projects, programs and initiatives.

Role fit

In this role you will be valued for your knowledge and skills in your specialist area and you will deliver outcomes through self-management, sometimes with guidance from Managers and Directors.

The essential requirements for this role are:

- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and implementing complex system-wide and/or state-wide projects that are time-critical and achieve expected deliverables.
- Demonstrated high-level analytical, data interpretation and evaluation skills including the ability to integrate multiple related activities to achieve deliverables and outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of national and state strategic directions and priorities in relation to children and families.




- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders that contribute to improved health and wellbeing for Queenslanders.
