What you'll do
As the CSR Training Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading training, competency development, and day-to-day operations within Central Specimen Reception (CSR). Working closely with the CSR and Mortuary Manager, you will coordinate staff training, recruitment and rostering activities, ensuring team members maintain the skills, knowledge, and competencies required to deliver high-quality pathology services. You will support the onboarding and training of new staff, students, and team members across Pathology Queensland, oversee compliance with mandatory training and quality system requirements, and conduct competency assessments to identify and address development needs. The role also involves contributing to daily operational management, including clinical trials and referral services, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture, and promoting professional growth and career development opportunities. In addition, you will support quality management activities, maintain compliance with NATA/ISO accreditation requirements, provide performance feedback and coaching, and work collaboratively across departments to ensure excellence, safety, and continuous improvement in pathology service delivery.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Experience in pre-analytical processes, e.g. sorting, coding, data entry, aliquoting, parcel management, troubleshooting etc, in a large and complex specimen reception unit.
- Proven ability to deliver training both at a personal and group level, using multiple platforms and delivery methods.
- Proven ability to influence and support staff in their learning demonstrating positive outcomes as an indicator of success.
- Proven ability to solve problems and show initiative in the workplace.
- High level of knowledge of a broad range of industry related computer-based software including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience dealing with a variety of people and a high level of awareness of the impact the individual has on the overall customer experience.
