About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our Maintenance Department, carrying out repairs and fabrication work across our fixed processing plant and underground mobile mining equipment.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you will work closely with mining and maintenance personnel to optimise equipment availability and ensure asset management work is completed safely and effectively.

Core role requirements include:

- Heavy welding

- Interpreting engineering drawings and following quality procedures

- Custom metal fabrication

- Structural and fabrication repairs

- MIG, TIG and Stick welding

- Air arc gouging

- Crack repairs

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out welding, fabrication and repair work on fixed processing plant and underground mobile mining equipment.

- Complete planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance activities in a safe and timely manner.

- Inspect equipment and components to identify defects, wear and damage, recommending appropriate repairs.

- Interpret engineering drawings and fabricate components to required specifications and quality standards.





- Work collaboratively with maintenance and operational teams to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.

- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures, statutory requirements and company standards.

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and maintenance practices.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at all times.

Key Position Details

The position is FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane on a 15/13 day shift roster.

Local candidates from Cloncurry and surrounding communities may DIDO and are encouraged to apply.

Accommodation and meals are provided onsite at Eloise Copper Mine, approximately 65 kilometres from Cloncurry.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- A Boilermaker trade certificate.

- At least three years' boilermaker experience.

- Previous experience working on mine sites or in remote locations.

- A current manual Australian driver's licence.

- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and police clearance.

- A strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.

- A neat and tidy approach, with pride in the quality of your work.

- A proactive, practical and self-motivated approach to your duties.
