The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and strategic leader to fill the position of Assistant Director of Building Information Modelling (PEL1) within the Planning and Quailty Branch (PQB).

The Assistant Director of Building Information Modelling (BIM) will lead a small team critical to supporting DPS's strategic asset management, infrastructure planning and building lifecycle management responsibilities for Australian Parliament House.

The successful applicant will provide specialist technical expertise in BIM, digital engineering, asset information management and data governance, ensuring that building and asset information is accurate, integrated and fit for operational requirements, maintenance and capital works decision-making.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with highly specialised skills, including BIM systems administration, digital asset information management, data integration, spatial modelling and the application of industry standards associated with digital engineering and asset management. - Qualifications, knowledge and experience

- Demonstrated experience leading the development and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital engineering practices across complex large-scale building portfolios and operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards, information management principles and digital delivery processes, including ISO 19650.
- Proven experience using and administering BIM technologies and platforms including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)



and related digital engineering platforms.
- Experience managing BIM data, model coordination, information quality assurance and the integration of asset information to support facilities management, maintenance and operational outcomes.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, technical specialists, contractors, facilities managers and senior executives.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including managing competing priorities, leading multidisciplinary teams and driving continuous improvement and organisational change

Eligibility

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in architecture, engineering, construction management, digital engineering, building information management or a related discipline
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
