Join the Australian Digital Health Agency's Informatics and Standards Branch as an EL1 Assistant Director, Standards Adoption and play a key role in advancing the adoption and implementation of digital health standards across Australia. Working within the Standards Adoption team, you will support the Agency's vision of a connected and interoperable digital health ecosystem by fostering engagement with the healthcare technology sector, supporting standards capability development, and strengthening partnerships across the digital health community.
Reporting to the Director, Standards Adoption, you will lead the delivery of key initiatives within the Capability Uplift workstream, focused on building digital health standards knowledge and capability across the sector. This includes overseeing the development and delivery of training programs, coordinating engagement with healthcare stakeholders and participants, and partnering with subject matter experts to create high-quality learning content aligned to industry needs. This is an exciting prospect for a strategic and collaborative leader with expertise in digital health standards to influence national capability uplift and contribute to improved digital health outcomes for all Australians.
The key duties of the position include:
Skills and experience (essential criteria)
- Demonstrated experience delivering digital health, interoperability or standards-related projects in complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, digital transformation and emerging technologies,
including FHIR and related standards.
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and develop teams, fostering collaboration and driving the successful delivery of work programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive briefs, reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, including experience facilitating workshops, managing procurement activities, overseeing external providers, and delivering training, capability uplift or learning initiatives.
Eligibility
Australian citizenship is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain both a national police clearance and a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to attain a higher-level clearance if required by the Agency.
