The opportunity:
We are excited to announce we have now opened an opportunity to work here with our esteemed team at Morphett Vale Dental Care. We are looking for not only a skilled Oral Health Therapist (OHT) , Hygienist but one that is energetic, enthusiastic and is passionate about oral health care for our patients. You’ll be working with not only a friendly team but also in a beautiful clinic that offers you the chance to work in a modern practice with up to date technology. Our team is excited to work with you and ease you into daily practice life.
We are seeking a qualified OHT, Hygienist to join our team initially for 2-3 days a week to cover maternity leave from November 2026 until September 2027. With the potential to continue within the clinic for the right candidate.

About you and the role:
We are looking for a clinician with ideally 2-3 years of experience whose values and interests align with the clinic and the team. However, we do encourage any new graduates to apply for this role too! You’ll be working closely alongside our existing dental team to continue to provide and support our patients' oral health journey.
Bachelor of OHT or equivalent, an advanced diploma of Oral Health
Currently registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
You love working with people of all ages and demographics
Have a friendly, warm and welcoming character
Opened to broadening your clinical skills
Passion for preventing oral diseases and encouraging patients oral health care
Patient and compassionate
Confident in talking to patients of different backgrounds and ages
Able to work collaboratively in a team
Takes pride in their work and advocates for the oral health care for their patients
Your day to day in our clinic can look like this depending on your qualifications and your scope of practice:
Depending on your experience, interests and scope of practice, your role may include:
Providing comprehensive and patient-centred oral health care
Assessing patients’ oral health and identifying areas requiring attention
Providing preventative and periodontal treatment
Developing individualised treatment and maintenance plans with patients
Supporting patients to understand their oral health and feel confident managing it at home
Building ongoing relationships with patients and helping them maintain their oral health long term
Working closely with our dentists and wider team to ensure patients receive coordinated and comprehensive care
Contributing to our practice’s focus on preventative dentistry and patient education
Having the chance to develop your clinical skills and expand your scope in areas that align with your interests and experience
Your role can be tailored to your individual experience, clinical interests and scope of practice, with support from our experienced and welcoming team.

We initially are offering 2- 3 days a week on a part time basis to cover one of our existing dentists whilst they are on maternity leave, with an opportunity for the right applicant to continue working with our team
