Our client is a highly reputable company providing design, manufacture, overhaul and servicing to underground mining equipment across Australia.

Due to growth, we are seeking a Fitter to join their workshop team in Mackay to assist with testing, diagnosing and undertaking minor repairs on a wide variety of components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate test benches for transmissions, torque converters, scabs, hydraulic controls and DCV's.
- Test a broad range of components to ensure performance and compliance.
- Diagnose faults and carry out minor repairs as required.
- Accurately record test results and maintain documentation.
- Work collaboratively with workshop and quality teams to ensure turnaround times and standards are met.

What we're looking for:

- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical
- Caterpillar knowledge and experience highly favourable
- Current Driver's Licence
- High Risk Licence - LF (Forklift)
- Strong understanding of transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic controls/DCV's.
- Reliable and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Australian working rights (No visa sponsorship offered)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
