QMR Recyclers specializes in the purchase and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals, both domestically and internationally. We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to assist with repairs and maintenance of our trucks, excavators and production equipment based in our Yatala yard

This position comes with a competitive pay rate and a Company Car

Essential:

- Hold a Diesel Mechanic trade qualification

- Previous experience dealing with equipment/machinery breakdowns

- Good knowledge of hydraulics

- Solid worth ethic and excellent communication skills

- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen

- Current drivers license

Highly regarded:

- Auto Electrical experience

- Forklift ticket

- Previous experience with Liebherr, Hitachi, Isuzu desirable

- previous experience with highway trucks and trailers Kenworth/DAF/ Japanese desirable





- Boiler making / welding experience

About the role:

- Work effectively within a Team environment and be able to work autonomously when required .

- Maintain smooth running of all vehicles, equipment and plant including repairs and preventative maintenance

- Ensure all tasks are performed within OHS and company standards

- Reporting directly to Maintenance Manager
