About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Centre Director to lead Blossom Preschool in Engadine NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic and operational role within our organisation. As Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and success of the centre, ensuring the highest standards of early childhood education, safety, and care are maintained at all times. You will work closely with educators, families, and the wider community to create an environment where every child can thrive and develop.

Key responsibilities

- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the centre, ensuring alignment with Blossom Preschool's mission and values

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation

- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards set by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and National Quality Framework (NQF)

- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of educators, providing mentoring, training,



and professional development opportunities

- Oversee the implementation of quality early childhood education programmes and curriculum frameworks

- Build and maintain positive relationships with families and the local community through regular communication and engagement

- Monitor and maintain centre safety, health, and wellbeing standards, including incident reporting and risk management

- Manage financial aspects of the centre including budgets, fees, and reporting

- Undertake quality improvement initiatives and respond to feedback from families, staff, and regulatory bodies

- Participate in qualified networking and keep abreast of developments in early childhood education

What we're looking for

- A recognised early childhood teaching qualification (Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education) or equivalent relevant qualification

- Current Working with Children Check clearance or eligibility to obtain one

- Minimum 5 years' experience working in early childhood education and care settings

- At least 2 years' experience in a leadership or management position within an educational or care setting





- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and ACECQA requirements

- Demonstrated experience in staff recruitment, training, and performance management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders

- Sound financial and business management capabilities

- A genuine passion for early childhood education and commitment to child safety and wellbeing

- Problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Experience in quality improvement and continuous professional development
