Light Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic – Mobile Maintenance

Located near Cloncurry, Eloise Copper Mine is an established underground operation producing high-grade copper concentrate. About the Role:

We seek an experienced Light Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic who is confident in their abilities to work within our Mobile Maintenance Department to conduct preventative maintenance and repairs, including diagnosis and troubleshooting, on all light vehicles and other equipment.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor you will work with mining and maintenance personnel to ensure equipment availability is optimised and asset management work is performed.

The core role requirements are:

- Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the light / heavy vehicle workshop including upgrades of vehicles and equipment.

- Repair and maintain other equipment as directed by the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor.

- Attend breakdowns and callouts in a timely manner in the field, on the surface and underground.





- Make repairs in in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

- Accurately record all work carried out and book out parts correctly through the Warehouse.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and look for improvement opportunities.

- Have the ability to perform in a team environment.

The role follows a 15/13 day shift and 14/14 night shift FIFO roster from Townsville or Brisbane, with bus commuting options available for local candidates from Cloncurry and surrounding communities. Onsite accommodation and meals are provided at the Eloise Copper Mine.

About You:

- Trade qualified with a minimum of 4 years - post trade work experience.

- Experience working in remote areas and on mine sites.

- Manual QLD driver’s license.

- Physically fit and able to pass medical assessment and police clearance.

- A neat and tidy operator that takes pride in their work.

- Hold a high regard for safety by following safe working practices.
